Confinement, week #4: Spotlight on refugee farm workers, tourism and more

We start near Nancy, in eastern France, where firefighter logistics are being used to give out much-needed medical equipment to hospitals and retirement homes amid the coronavirus pandemic. Karina Chabour and Erin Ogunkeye report.

French agriculture is facing difficulties with the closure of restaurants and markets. Farmers are also having a tough time producing because the seasonal workers who usually help out are not available. In some regions, local officials have offered refugees the possibility to work in the fields. Karim Yahiaoui and Nadia Massih report.

Confinement also means many victims are confined with their abusive spouses. Domestic violence has spiked and although the French government is taking measures to protect those at risk, this is easier said than done. Marie Schuster and Alison Sargent have the story.

Finally, tourism has been particularly hard hit by the lockdown. Catherine Norris Trent reports from the famous Chateau de Chambord in France's Loire Valley, where tourists are nowhere to be seen and those working in the industry are worried.
